Power switch and reset

Applicable receivers:  BD1090 | BD1092 | BD1092i

Power switch

The integrator may choose to power the unit by inputting 3.3 V on Power In (pins 5 & 6) while leaving the Power Switch (pin 3) floating or tied to ground.

Alternatively, integrators may choose to power off the unit by applying a 3.3 V level signal to the Power Switch (pin 3), causing the unit to disconnect VCC while still inputting 3.3 V on Power In (pins 5 & 6). This will allow the system to perform a graceful shutdown and while powered off in this state the realtime clock will continue to keep time, which may aid in system startup. The 3.3 V level signal to the Power Switch (pin 3) may be maintained even when the Power In (pins 5 & 6) is not present. The Power Switch (pin 3) architecture allows for a signal up to 9 V, the leakage will be dominated by a 1M-ohm pull-down resistor.

Reset switch

Driving Reset_IN_L, Pin 12, low will cause the unit to reset. The unit will remain reset at least 140 mS after the Reset_IN_L is deasserted. The unit remains powered while in reset.
