This feeds antenna power. Voltage and current requirement based on antenna voltage used. Ripple Voltage should be 100 mV Vpp or better. This can be shorted directly to 3.3 V used to supply power to the unit if the antenna can handle 3.3 V. It can handle a maximum current of 150 mA.

Power LED

POWER Indicator. High when unit is on, low when off. This is similar to all BD9xx products, except for the requirement for an external resistor. This allows user to use this as a control line.

When used to drive an LED, a series resistor with a typical value of 300 Ohms is required. This pin supplies a maximum current of 4 mA. For LEDs with Vf above 2.7 or current excess of 4 mA, an external buffer is required.

RESET_IN

RESET_IN - ground to reset

Drive low to reset the unit. Otherwise, leave unconnected.

RTK LED

RTK LED. Flashes when an RTK correction is present. This is similar to all BD9xx products, except for the requirement for an external resistor.

Enable External 10 MHz Source

3.3 V TTL level. Selects between using internal and external 10 MHz source for RF time base. Setting this signal to low uses internal 10 MHz TCXO. Setting signal high sets external reference mode. It is critical for system stability that this signal does not toggle during run-time. Doing so will destabilize PLLs and cause undesirable effects.

CAUTION – The form factor of the BD940 receiver module requires that the electrical connection of the 80-pin connector is a "blind" connection, meaning it must be placed and connected without a direct view of the connector. This blind connection requires that extreme caution is exercised when installing the BD940 receiver module onto the PCA (Printed Circuit Assembly). The correct process is to:

  1. Verify the shield tabs are straight, and not bent inward or outward. If needed, carefully straighten the tabs with your fingers (observe ESD protection!) to get the shield tabs straight.

  2. Carefully align the receiver module over the mounting location of the PCA and lower the receiver module down to the PCA so that all four shield tabs enter into the tab slots/holes on the PCA. When the BD940 connector starts to make contact with the PCA connector, carefully press over the connection area of the receiver module to mate the two connectors. A slight "click" feel is normal. Be very careful not to use excessive force as this will damage the receiver module, your PCA, or both.

  3. After the connection is made, solder the shield tabs to the PCA to complete the installation.
