CAUTION – The form factor of the BD940 receiver module requires that the electrical connection of the 80-pin connector is a "blind" connection, meaning it must be placed and connected without a direct view of the connector. This blind connection requires that extreme caution is exercised when installing the BD940 receiver module onto the PCA (Printed Circuit Assembly). The correct process is to:

Verify the shield tabs are straight, and not bent inward or outward. If needed, carefully straighten the tabs with your fingers (observe ESD protection!) to get the shield tabs straight.

Carefully align the receiver module over the mounting location of the PCA and lower the receiver module down to the PCA so that all four shield tabs enter into the tab slots/holes on the PCA. When the BD940 connector starts to make contact with the PCA connector, carefully press over the connection area of the receiver module to mate the two connectors. A slight "click" feel is normal. Be very careful not to use excessive force as this will damage the receiver module, your PCA, or both.

After the connection is made, solder the shield tabs to the PCA to complete the installation.
