Evaluation board CAN port

CAN is multiplexed with Serial COM3 and Event Marker 2. To use the CAN functionality, the integrator must have this port configured to CAN (refer to the web interface: Receiver Configuration / General menu). The port can only operate in a single state, either Serial 3, CAN 1, or Event Marker 2, at one time.

For development using the I/O board, this com port is already connected to a CAN transceiver. This is labeled CAN on the I/O board. J5, labeled ‘CAN’ and ‘SERIAL’, must be set to CAN. There shouldn't be anything connected to TP6, labeled Event 1.
